Emergency Plumbing & Mechanical Service
Priority response when safety, property, or essential services are at risk.
When urgent plumbing or mechanical issues occur, Pure Mechanical Group Ltd. prioritizes assessment, stabilization, and risk mitigation before any planned or permanent work is considered.
We respond to emergencies affecting residential and multi-unit buildings across Metro Vancouver, with a focus on stopping damage, restoring safety, and clearly communicating next steps.
What We Consider an Emergency
Emergency service is intended for conditions that pose an immediate risk to property, safety, or essential services, including:
- Active water leaks or flooding
- Drain backups affecting use, hygiene, or safety
- Loss of domestic water service
- Mechanical failures causing unsafe conditions
- After-hours escalation when immediate response is required to protect safety or property
If you are unsure whether your situation qualifies, contact us and we will help assess urgency.
Before We Arrive
If it is safe to do so:
- Shut off the main water or gas supply if the source is known.
- Keep occupants clear of affected areas.
- Do not reset breakers or relight appliances unless instructed.
- If there is a strong gas smell, evacuate and contact FortisBC before calling.
How Emergency Response Works
1. Initial Assessment & Triage
We assess the situation on arrival, identify immediate risks, and determine the safest course of action.
2. Stabilization First
Emergency work focuses on containing damage and restoring basic function, not full system upgrades or non-urgent improvements.
3. Clear Communication
Findings, limitations, and next steps are explained clearly before proceeding beyond emergency stabilization, and additional work is only performed when authorized.
4. Follow-Up Planning
If additional repairs or coordination are required, we provide recommendations and outline next steps once the site is stabilized.
What Emergency Service Is
- Stop active leaks or flooding
- Restore essential water or drainage where possible
- Reduce immediate risk to occupants or property
What Emergency Service Is Not
- A guarantee of permanent repair during the initial visit
- A substitute for planned replacement or upgrades
- An inspection or certification of the full system
Hidden conditions, access limitations, and system age may affect what can be safely completed during an emergency response.
After-Hours & Availability
Emergency requests are prioritized based on severity and risk, not order received.
After-hours service may be available when required, subject to technician availability and site conditions. Response times are targets only and are not guaranteed.
Emergency service may involve after-hours rates or minimum charges due to mobilization, safety requirements, and response conditions.
Request Emergency Service
If the situation involves active water flow, flooding, or loss of essential service, calling is recommended over online requests.
